Flash Titles

Hey there.

You could export the animation as an AVI at the same resolution as DV and with a keyable background. Then just layer them up in premiere.

Hi all.

I find Macomedia Flash quite handy when it comes to making good looking titles and credits. Does anyone know how to best transfer a flash movie to dv?

no no no...

(before doing this make sure you have QuickTime 5 installed)

in flash 4 when you go to create your animation / titles - go to MODIFY > MOVIE then type in 720 x 524 25FPS (PAL), click ok...

create your titles...

when you go to export, go FILE > EXPORT MOVIE > select QUICKTIME VIDEO then another dialog box appears, in COMPRESSOR pull down menu select DV PAL make sure the size is 720 x 524 then click OK....

this should export your titles as a DV file, but it does require QuickTime 5 and Flash 4 or newer... best of luck man!

Someone in this board once told me that flash was fairly crappy at proper resolution, and that After Effects was the pucker tool for the job.

The intro and the credits, both were made using Flash 5. Due to the .rm format it may look a bit crappy, but on the screen/TV it looks absolutely perfect.
